This is one of the earliest known pictures of the two of us... So young!
I figured that if I'm going to be married to her, I may as well put up a page of admiration... besides, it looks bad to have all these pages about tubes and amps and cars and music and bands, and nothing about my main squeeze! Is it corny? Probably, but it's here anyway. I mean, look at this girl! What she's doing with a dork like myself is beyond my comprehension. I guess it means a lot to her that I treat her like she should be treated--with respect. The above picture was taken at my Senior Prom at Providence College. We had been going out for a couple of months at the time. Shit, look at that long hair! I would still have it, too, if the damned U.S. Navy hadn't tried to suck me back in. But that's another chapter of the story, one that I won't go into now. Suffice it to say that when you're looking at serving a couple of years doing a job you never wanted to do, it makes you appreciate exactly what you've got. It was during this difficult time that I asked this sweet, beautiful girl to marry me. And--Ye Gods!--she said yes. Here's a bunch of more pictures, taken all over the place, over the years. They make me happy. Not only is my girl a looker, but she's also got quite a way with words... Click HERE for a short collection of her prose poems. In May of 2001 she also became the proud recipient of a Master's of Arts degree in English from Rhode Island College. If you've got the time, take a gander at her opus--a Master's thesis on Feminism and the TV show Ally McBeal. PDF format. Holy shit... getting married on November 30th, 2002.
WELL, I got married... and it was to Kristen, after all! Here's a shot from Rockefeller Plaza in New York City (our honeymoon destination) I'll be posting a lot of wedding pictures, but for now, here's some old ones that always caught my eye: |
